  • MSV Upgrade

The Adventure Team's new recon device is a Potensic A20W nano drone.
After testing, it may be accepted as a new piece of the AT's MSV equipment.

The AT has been searching for an alternative to the silly cranky spinny thing that they've been using for aerial recon.
This drone is capable of recon photography, as well as recording video.
As an added plus, it transmits real-time video through a wireless feed.
This is a HUGE potential upgrade for the MSV.

Yeah, that's a vintage Land Adventurer who had a bad chin rub. I removed the flocking on his chinny chin chin and turned him into a clean-shaven Land Adventurer.
Right now he's between missions, assisting the ATC (at the console) with some R&D.
He couldn't very well look like he'd been in the jungle for a month if he's helping out at HQ...

Note how awesome it looks on the "aerial recon camera" launch pad:

and it's about the same size as the old spinny thing ("aerial recon camera").

Since the drone actually HAS a camera (live video to your cell phone in addition to recording video and stills), there's no need for the round spinny thing, except for nostalgia. It'll automatically take off, land, and hover, too. Pretty groovy. Cheap, too -- I think it was around $45.

The Potensic drone has just begun the testing phase, and may become part of the official "Task Force Opie" Adventure Team equipment.
