  • Action Man Classic?

I like to watch the "Toy Polloi" channel on YouTube, as he often does repairs on vintage Action Man figures and uniforms. Today he posted a review of new "Action Man Classic" figures that have just been released. They have limited articulation (kind of like a Hall of Fame Joe) but their head sculpts are spot-on vintage GI Joe/ Action Man heads.

Anyone have any knowledge of these? Couldn't find anything on the Cotswold website.

They're part of a new range of Action Man figures. Released by Art & Science.

Produced at a budget, meant to get the Youngun's interested in Action Man.

Supposed to be followed by a "Collector's" line, something for us.

Thanks! Any chance of a U.S. distribution?

Cots says A&S is hard to communicate with. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Best bet is eBay, or badger one of our British friends to send us one.

Those figures look hideous! Ken dolls with a 40th Joe head.

Nah, I think the head is much better than Joe40.

Body is for sure crap, though.

Yeah for me its nice to see Action man on the market again, however this is a piss poor way to market him, it really looks like a ken doll with a Joe head in military gear, that said I am looking forward to adding one to the collection.

Well, I can't see shelling out $30 American for that! Especially when, for $10 more, I got the 50th AM soldier. That is for certain a money grab on the name alone. Sorry my British friends, but if this fails, it will no doubt kill any future AM releases.

I wonder if the heads will for onto other Joe/AM bodies.

As for a collector's line, I wasn't thrilled with the AM 50th bodies from the waist down.
