  • Spy Island Gear (for myself) WIP

My wife and I do like to dress up for conventions and things. If I ever make it to a GI Joe specific convention again, I'd like to be prepared.

I got these camo clothes from my father in law, he used them for hunting. Somehow they fit me, enough anyway. So with a couple changes, I'll end up a spy on a Secret Mission to Spy Island.

    To do:

Replace hat with a different black one.

    Get more appropriate shoulder holster.

    Get black combat boots.

    Get Adventure Team patch?

Get small "vintage" camera and strap.

Finding Lebel revolver would be a challenge. An 1895 Nagant would be easy, though... And it looks AWFULLY close. Not sure where to find a toy or resin replica, though.

The thing about using a weapon in my cosplay, is I live in the United States. You can't be armed (even with a facsimile) at a convention or other public gathering without people thinking you're there to shoot up the place.

It's the unfortunate times we live in.
