Anybody else impulse shopping at ToysRUs?

Went a little crazy over the Animal Planet playsets, but they are ToysRUs exclusives. Now, where do we put them?

Haven't had a chance yet to go, but those Animal Planet sets are great. Very saddened about TRU's demise.

I went by there yesterday. I picked up a Schleich Dunkleosteus. I figured that he's big enough, and, with his movable jaw, menacing enough to give Joe some trouble.

And I agree, those Animal Planet sets are great! Very Adventure team-esque. I wonder if someone else will pick up the line after TRU is gone. *Sigh* I get depressed just thinking about their being gone.

Lionel Kiddie City was better than TRU and KB all wrapped in one. Plus, there's no 12" Joe stuff to be found anywhere, so why bother going into TRU?

I picked up the Giant Cobra Animal Planet set, I really like the AT/Indy Jones vibe of it. Planning to give it to my son for his birthday, hope he likes it.

Went to TRU and while the signs by the road said 30% discounts, the boy toys were still only at 10%. No Animal Planet sets to be found. There are still some of the soldier and sailor sets. I saw a Pirate Ship, a Submarine, a really cool jet and more. However I am going to wait for further discounts. Also heard something about and influx of money which may keep TRU alive. Probably, just a rumor though.

No Animal Planet sets to be found.

Don't forget that the Animal Planet sets aren't kept with the rest of the action figures. They displayed near the animal toys, like the Schleich animals and Breyer horses. If you didn't go into that part of the store, they'd be easy to miss.

I scoped it out a few days before the clearance started, but really didn't see much sadly...
