  • Sheet Plastic

I was looking for a sheet of white styrene for a GI Joe project. 4 ft x 8 ft. At least 1/16 of an inch thick (.070 to .125).
Sheet of plastic of this size is very hard to find. When you do, the shipping cost is outrageous!
I found a place that had some in stock, and it was only $20 a sheet. Cheap, right? Not after you include the cost of shipping: $369.
This week I'll call some local sign shops, and see if I have better luck with them than I've had with manufacturers or wholesalers.
    :-(

when I bought that sheet from Capt Card Board it was 4x8 but was ripped into 4 quarters to ease shipping. May want to see if that is an option.

Not an option in this case.
      I need a solid sheet.
      Waaah!

I may end up using a sheet of expensive aluminum because it would be a lot cheaper than paying the shipping cost on plastic.
      Double waaaah!

Scott -- I FOUND A LOCAL SOURCE OF SHEET PLASTIC!

Gordon's Plastics on Axminister Road in Fenton. (I guess that minister wants to make sure people go to church.)

4x8 sheet .090 thick, white styrene.
        $80.

        I just picked one up.
        Yay!
