It appears that Hasbro has taken back the Action Man license from Modelors Loft and passed it to Art + Science who is making new 12" figures. The initial figures were Ken/HoF type bodies with little articulation designed for 3 year olds, but the ones being offered on pre-order by Cotswold are 30 point bodies.
From what I can tell, this is a completely new design. While the hands and head look about right, the detail photo of the arm articulation and the fact that there is no neck seam mean that these share no parts with the originals and don't really resemble any other later GI Joe body that I've seen. The figures over all look quality, but also toy-like rather than hyper-realistic.

If you find the Action Man Hasbro website, you'll see the prior Ken doll version - intended from younger kids. But that site mentions a future high articulation version on the way.
