  • What's everyone bought recently?

As far as 12" Joes for me, nothing for awhile. Classified, comics, and NECA Universal Monsters have been taking up my time. I did pick up the 6" McFarlane SGT. Rock figure. It is a nice figure, but doesn't come with a rifle, which would have made the figure better.
I also finally started character designs for my comic. Everyday, my comic idea seems to change or update, which isn't a bad thing. Currently, it is gonna be a Sci-Fi comic. Still haven't gotten the story down, so not gonna get into too much details about it. I have been extremely lazy with my art and haven't drawn anything in months, so it did feel good to draw again.
I will be posting updates on my instagram, @geekdragonart.

I picked up a couple of ratty Gabriel Lone Rangers to try and fix up. Don't know if they can be salvaged but gonna give them a try. Picked up a couple of Classified figs and some Valaverse figs (https://valaverse.com) These are growing on me. Really been holding off buying stuff as we are getting the back doors replaced in the Joe Room and it is less for me to move. Mostly just 3D printing stuff and painting game minis for the boy.

I was at a flea market and spotted a land adventurer in a gallon sized baggie with a bunch of old Marx accessories (that look like they came from a Geronimo set). And there were several knockoff items stuffed in the bag - that were all throwaways. The only stuff worth salvaging was the Joe body and the Marx accessories. That Joe figure is only good for the body. Hands and feet 100% intact, body in good shape, standard thigh rivet cracks. Unfortunately, somebody removed Joe's face with a shotgun, so the head needs to be replaced. The damage to the neck post inside wasn't substantial. $8. With a clean up job, new head, and a new uniform, he'll be back in action.

Great save! That's a super deal, and will be fun to resurrect the Joe!

          Change One!
I think I'm going to use the arms and legs off this $8 baggieJoe to restore another. I've got a vintage Hasbro guy from 1966 currently wearing Cotswold arms and legs. I'll swap them out for these, and make him a 100% Hasbro Nosepicker Joe. I guess I won't need an extra Land Adventurer head after all! Thanks, though, Scott!
