Here is my Club Comrade of Action finally! I took him out of the package today and looked for a uniform, but couldn't find one. So here he is in his skivvies, I guess the Russians wear long underwear due to the cold. Somewhere in my cluttered study, I put the bag containing the Geyperman Russian Soldier uniform. Once I find it, I'll outfit this Joe in what his forbears wore. It should look really great.

I think I'll go to the July flea market. There might be some odds and ends there. You never know. Also planning to go to Joelanta this year finally. It's in September.

The Kane County show happened about a month ago. I believe there is another in October.

When is the next big Chicago toy show? I've been driving to Louisville for years since I never seem to catch the local shows.

It's big. ALOT of people. It's cool, not as good as it was before the pandemic started. You could also try Fan Expo Chicago(formally Chicago Comicon, and Wizard World Chicago). I have been going to this one since 1993, when it was the 2nd biggest con in the country and was mostly about comics, Now, they are basically the same con, but fun to go to.
I was at the Star Wars con here in Chicago, my one and only Star Wars con. Had a good time at that one.

I'll have to check out the Chicago show next year. I've never gone to it. The only show I ever attended in Chicago was the Star Wars Celebration a few years ago, and also the St. Charles Toy Expo once.

My latest recruit is a boxed Duke (2nd issue) figure. I have one loose already, and he is one of my most prized Joes since my brother gave him to me for Christmas 1991. I took him out of the package, but decided to buy one in the box for display. I got it from Cotswold. Their stock of all Joes is dwindling fast. I'm wondering whether they plan to restock anytime soon. Anyway I thought $25 was a good price.

Nice. I know the feeling. I am attending my second con in two weeks. Last week I went to the Midwest Gaming Classic, a video, board, and card game con(I went for the video games), and, starting yesterday, it is 3 days of C2E2(the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo). Plus I had work in between. Luckily, I'm on vacation now.
Only Joe item I got was last weekend, the G.I.Joe Atari 2600 game with box.

I bought these three HOF Joes about 3 weeks ago. Just getting around to posting about it. Things have been busier than a one armed paper hanger!

This week's mall call. The AA body is one of two Geyperman bodies I have. The Adventurer head is from Ebay.

The GIJCC Comrade of Action arrived today, in his original packaging from the Club, and in his green skivvies. I'm still waiting for the accessory set of the Russian SOW from Hobbycrash, so he'll have to tough it out in my air conditioned house for now. I'm now on the hunt once again for an Comrade of Action accessory set from the Club. I'm not sure anyone has them. It's been over 10 years. I'll try at the shows I attend this year, and maybe I'll get lucky.
